THE DISTRIBUTION LIST IS PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL. Welcome to Vol. 3 Number 008 of the Radio H.F. Internet Newsletter. Previous issues of this newsletter can be found at the following URL: http://www.anarc.org/cidx/radiohf/index.html Difficult to believe that we're already into August. The summer is truly flying by. This month's edition features some sites dealing with hurricanes and tropical storms. As I prepare this, Tropical Storm Barry, the second of the season, is moving into the Florida panhandle, on the verge of being upgraded to hurricane status. I have chosen some excellent sites, with radio connections, which will keep you up to date on the progress of storms such as Barry throughout the balance of the storm season. Enjoy the rest of the summer, at least here in the northern hemisphere. Our contributor list is down somewhat this month, so do take a few moments to send along a web site or two to share with our ever increasing number of on-line subscribers. Also, why not share the information in the Newsletter with a friend. They may wish to come on board with us. The e-mail address, for all contributions, comments, and subscription requests, is: hfnewsletter@yahoo.com Remember that all contributors are entitled to a 2% discount on their next purchases from Radio H.F. NOTE: Just a reminder again to regularly check out the RCI Action Committee web site at: http://www.geocities.com/rciaction and The Save BBC Coalition web site at: http://www.savebbc.org for all the latest updates on the lobbying action to prevent changes to these international services. Improving technology has enabled AfriCam to provide global Internet viewers with live imagery, 24 hours a day, of some of the world's greatest wilderness areas and the animals that call them home.
