The International Radio Report on CKUT-FM

Hello to everyone. Since November 12, 1987, we have been hosting and producing the International Radio Report, a weekly half-hour programme of news, information and developments in the world of radio broadcasting. On May 9, 1999 we will be airing our 600th edition of the programme.
CKUT-FM, being a campus/community FM radio station, has given us the unique opportunity, in a major metropolitan market, to broadcast this weekly programme which basically encourages listeners to listen to other radio broadcasts, other than those on our own station; certainly something that most commercial radio stations would shy away from.
We are pleased to announce today that CKUT-FM Radio McGill is now available worldwide via the Internet and RealAudio, making our programme, together with all others on CKUT, accessible to listeners around the planet.
The CKUT Radio McGill website can be found at the following URL: http://www.ckut.ca.
At the present time, programming is only available on a real time basis. Nothing is being archived at this point. Although the CKUT webpage is still under construction, simply scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the RealAudio icon, and you will be on board.
The International Radio Report is aired on Sunday mornings at 10:30 Eastern time, 1530 UTC (1430 UTC after 1 April 1999). It is 30 minutes long. We hope that many of you will have the opportunity to log on and tune in to our broadcast.
We have set up a new e-mail address for you to reach us. Your comments, suggestions, questions or contributions would be greatly appreciated. You can reach us at: [email protected].
We would be most grateful if you would let others know of this development. We hope you will be tuning in to us in the weeks ahead.
